The Halloween season is here again, and you deserve to scare the crap out of yourself with the best zombie games you can find. Granted, there’s still a good amount of time before everything becomes black, orange, and candy-filled, but that doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate early by fighting for your (virtual) life against the undead hordes. And don’t worry, we’re not just talking about games that are made to scare you, here – though that is a bonus. However they earned the honor, these are the best zombie games you can play right now.
Best Arcade : Killing flor 2
If you just want to jump straight into non-stop zombie killing and have a whole lot of fun doing it, get Killing Floor 2. Killing Floor 2 is a first-person shooter video game, that can be played alone or cooperatively with up to six players. The game is based on events from Killing Floor, in which bio-tech firm Horzine’s attempt to create military clones is hijacked by an insane researcher and unleashed on the UK. The clones have now rapidly spread across Europe, paralyzing the response from the European Union.Within Killing Floor 2, taking place a month after the first game, the outbreak has spread beyond Europe, causing governments to collapse and communication systems to fail.
Gameplay consists of players fighting through waves against Zeds. As waves pass, the enemy count, which scales with the number of players in the game, will increase and different enemy types are introduced with the final wave culminating in a boss fight.
Best for Kids: Plants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2
One of the best games for kids ,but my personal opinion is that this game is perfect even for adults .Sometimes we need a change ,lets leave super graphics games behind and play this amaizing game.Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 features six online multiplayer game modes and two, four-player, co-op modes where players can choose to be on the zombie or plant team, each of which, have various abilities and actions that can be performed that vary up gameplay. There are 100 playable characters with 14 different classes, including everything from zombie scientist-astronauts to sunflowers with fire abilities. Among its various modes, players will get to defend areas against increasingly difficult swarms of either zombies or plants, battle in online 24-player team deathmatches and even jump in a practice mode to get used to characters and explore various maps.
Best action-adventure:Dying Light: The Following
Running over zombies was never so much fun. As the DLC for the main game, Dying Light: The Following cuts out most of the parkour from the original and instead puts you behind the steering wheel in a swathe of almost-spotless countryside. Splatter zombies into chunks of gore as you speed across the fields and leave tyre-tracks in their guts as you take on daring jumps. Just be careful you don’t get a zombie head trapped in your windscreen wipers.
We don’t really have a zombie-driving game around at the moment, and The Following plugs this niche perfectly. There’s even a new, evolved (and much more deadly) version of the Volatiles, who are instant death if you encounter one either whilst in your buggy or sneaking around at night. Regardless, you’ll have to dodge them as you drive around investigating a cult who seem to be immune to the zombie virus. The responsive steering makes careering down roads a delight, but beware: the more you swerve out of the way of zombies, the bigger the horde following you will get. Not that it’s an issue, because as soon as you take your foot off the brake, sit back, and slam that gas pedal, in no time you’ll understand why we love The Following.
best horror : resident evil 7 biohazard
Horror come with me now ! This game is absolutely the king of horror .The most horrific PS4 zombie game on the list changes up traditional Resident Evil gameplay by putting you in a first-person mode. The player controls Ethan Winters from a first-person perspective as he searches the Baker house for his missing wife.Although Ethan is a civilian with few combat skills,he is able to arm himself with a variety of different weapons including handguns, shotguns, flamethrowers, explosives and chainsaws against the Baker family and a humanoid form of fungus known as the “Molded”. He can also block attacks to reduce damage. Various sections of the game are spent being pursued by members of the Baker family, who if engaged in combat, can only be temporarily incapacitated. However, these encounters are avoidable by means of stealth, or running away
Best for Originality: Left 4 Dead 2
The Left 4 Dead series is the ultimate co-op zombie survival experience. If you like to go out on your own and try to be Rambo, you’re as good as dead. It’s all about trying to get as many of your team members from point A to point B in one piece, and that requires teamwork. Standing in your way is a horde of zombies – though they aren’t the typical slow moving stumblers. The standard zombies are quick on their feet, and sprint towards you at full speed, which is absolutely horrifying.
But the standard zombies are only the tip of the iceberg. The real threats are the special, player-controlled super infected, like the original game’s Hunter, Boomer, and Smoker. In the sequel, things get even more hectic with the addition of the Charger, Jockey, and Spitter. Alone each zombie type isn’t much of a threat to a coordinated survivor team. But when the super zombies work together, it could mean instant death for the heavily armed humans. If you’re looking for a zombie title that lets you cooperate with or decimate your friends, Left 4 Dead 2 can’t be beat.
Best Classic: Resident Evil HD Remaster
That dreadful desolation remains perfectly intact in Resident Evil HD Remaster, which is actually a slightly modernized version of the Resident Evil GameCube remake that came out in 2002. Don’t get us wrong, the 2015 re-remake could have done more but what is there remains a seminal survival horror classic.
Far from sliding into a high spot on our list through nostalgia alone, the Resident Evil remake is one of the greatest zombie games in large part due because of the interesting way it thinks about the undead. Eespecially what to do with one that you think has stopped moving for good. You’ll want to make sure by putting zombies down with a headshot or burning their corpse afterwards, because otherwise it could rise again later on as the hideously powerful horror called a “crimson head.” Just saying the name is shiver-inducing.
Best Non-Traditional Zombie: Call of Duty Black Ops 3
Call of Duty Black Ops 3 features the best zombie game mode in a game that’s not about zombies.Shadows of Evil was revealed as a new map for the Zombies mode on July 9, 2015 at San Diego Comic-Con International 2015.The map features four brand new characters: Nero the Magician, Jessica the Femme Fatale, Vincent the Cop and Campbell the Boxer as the main cast, and takes place in a new setting called Morg City. “The Giant” includes the original characters, Tank Dempsey, Edward Richtofen, Nikolai Belinski and Takeo Masaki. These characters return from the Black Ops II map “Origins”, in their alternate timeline versions. They reappear in the DLC maps “The Giant”, “Der Eisendrache”, “Zetsubou no Shima”, “Gorod Krovi” and “Revelations”. The zombies gamemode involves a story, which links with every DLC. On May 16, 2017 Treyarch released a fifth DLC including the remastered versions of Zombies maps from their previous Call of Duty games, called “Zombies Chronicles”. These maps are “Nacht der Untoten”, “Verrückt”, “Shi No Numa”, “Kino der Toten”, “Ascension”, “Shangri La”, “Moon” and “Origins”. These maps retain most of the original aesthetics updated with Black Ops III’s graphics engine, while also add in the gameplay elements of Black Ops III, such as Gobblegums and Weapon Kits
Best open world: State of Decay 2
State of Decay series tries to make sure you’re having a good time with picturesque midwestern scenes and gorey fun combat, even as your food runs out and zombies beat down your gate.
The coolest new thing in State of Decay 2, though, is easily the long-awaited addition of multiplayer. Inviting friends in to help defend and scavenge for your settlement exponentially expands the possibilities of procedurally generated storytelling. And it finally gives you a chance to test out all those zombie apocalypse survival plans you’ve spent way too long hashing out with buddies.
Best Game-Changer: Resident Evil 4
Resident Evil 4 was critically acclaimed and received an overall score of 96/100 on Metacritic for the GameCube and PlayStation 2 versions, indicating “universal acclaim”.In addition to the gameplay, the characters and story generally received positive commentary, leading to the finished product being deemed by most as one of the best video games ever made.Resident Evil 4 is the pioneer of the famous “over-the-shoulder,” third-person view that you see in so many games today. Former Raccoon City police officer Leon S. Kennedy is sent on a mission to rescue Ashley Graham, the U.S. President’s daughter, who has been kidnapped by a mysterious cult. The game still lives up to today’s standards, thanks to its fun gameplay.
